From the time they first met in Tokyo and went to Blue Bottle together, coffee has served as a catalyst that brought the two closer to each other. When Brian flew to Manila the first time to visit Dianne, she took him to one of her favorite cafes where they participated in a coffee brewing class. In all their travels, the couple always makes sure to seek the best places for coffee wherever they are. Even on their honeymoon in Italy, they took time to tour the La Marzocco factory in Scarperia, Florence, where the idea to open their own coffee shop took root.

Brian and Dianne envision Bad Cafe to be the same kind of place they like to go to when they travel: that independent neighborhood coffee shop where you can spend most of your day drinking handcrafted coffee and indulging in well-made desserts, enjoying each other’s company.
